Hello Neighborhood Association Leaders!

My name is Wendy Luck and I am the Volunteer Coordinator for the 2018 New Mexico Senior Olympics State Summer Games!

I was directed to you and your organization by Gary Jones of the Albuquerque Office of Emergency Management and Dalaina Carmona of the Office of Neighborhood Coordination. Both Gary & Dalaina recommended the Neighborhood Associations very highly as a source for volunteers to assist with this year’s games!

The New Mexico Senior Olympics State Summer Games is happening in ABQ July 18-22nd and we anticipate 1200 athletes aged 50+!  Whether you want to compete or volunteer (or both) we would love to have you be a part of NMSO’s 40th Year Anniversary.

As a GAME VOLUNTEER, you can assist in any of our 25 sporting events or support positions and receive a FREE t-shirt, certificate, invitation to attend the volunteer kick-off event and be entered into a drawing for a $100 gift card. Additional benefits include:

  • Build your resume and gain valuable event management skills
  • Give back to your community
  • Showcase the hospitality ABQ has to offer to our Senior Olympians
  • Networking opportunities
  • See great sporting facilities in the ABQ area
  • Volunteer with your friends and HAVE FUN!

Our online “TRS” volunteer registration is just a click away! Register online by clicking on the following link

As an ATHLETE, NO pre-qualification is required, anyone 50 years or older can still register for the State Summer Games in Albuquerque.

The deadline to register for athletes & volunteers is May 31st  or late registration deadline is June 15th.

I have attached a schedule of events, Volunteer Needs by Event Sheet & A Group Registration Form to provide some additional information and help streamline the registration process.

I am also available to attend your association’s meeting and provide a short presentation or help with registration.
