Good morning,

We are gearing up for the Old Town Event Season and I’d like to pass on some information for the first event. The annual Fiestas de Albuquerque featuring the Founders’ Procession will take place in and around Plaza Vieja on Saturday, April 7, 2018 from 12-5 p.m. to celebrate Albuquerque’s Birthday. Enjoy the history and traditions of our City with live entertainment, free children’s activities, live artist demonstrations, local food, shopping, and fun for the whole family.

In order to facilitate a pedestrian friendly event, the streets listed below will be closed. All streets closures will be in effect from 10 p.m. on Friday to 7 p.m. Saturday.

  • North Plaza St. will be closed.
  • South Plaza St. will be closed from Romero St. to San Felipe St.
  • Romero St. will be closed from Church St. to South Plaza St.
  • Church St. will not be open to westbound traffic from San Felipe St.
  • San Felipe St will remain open.

If you are a resident within the enclosed area and need to make arrangements for access to your home, please let us know ahead of time, if possible, and we will make every effort to accommodate. Safety is our number one priority.

We respectfully ask that you share this information with all of the people in your association in order to ensure a smooth and enjoyable event.
