Paradise Hills Community Celebrates Day in Paradise

and Annual Egg Hunt this Sunday

— Outstanding Citizens to be Honored —

 

Bernalillo County – The annual Day in Paradise community celebration and annual egg hunt will be held Sunday, March 18 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Paradise Hills Park, 5901 Paradise Blvd. NW.

Beginning at 1:45 p.m., two Day in Paradise 2018 Outstanding Citizens and a local pre-school will be honored for their community involvement.

At 2 p.m., the egg hunt will begin with over 20,000 eggs for kids to find in addition to 79 prize baskets donated by local community members and businesses.

Participants can enjoy games, music and great food, all at this free, family-friendly community event.

“We are always excited to honor our outstanding citizens every year and this year we are also honoring a community pre-school on its 50th  anniversary,” says Bernalillo County Commission Vice Chair Lonnie Talbert.“The annual egg hunt has always been one of Paradise Hills’ biggest and best events, so we invite the community to come out and enjoy it.”

Congratulations go out to this year’s outstanding citizens:

  • Kathy Baca is being honored for her numerous hours of volunteer work with the Paradise Hills Community Center’s pickleball program and at her church.
  • Ken Lloyd is being honored for his numerous hours of volunteer work as a coordinator with the Paradise Hills Community Center’s pickleball program.
  • The Paradise Hills Community Pre-school is celebrating 50 years of teaching, caring and community service to Paradise Hills children and their parents.

After the outstanding citizens’ ceremony, Commissioner Talbert will be sharing some of the changes that will occur during renovations at the park in the coming months.
