Recyclothes, Clothes Drive

Making a Difference in a Child’s Life

Albuquerque, NM – Keep Albuquerque Beautiful, a program of the Solid Waste Management Department, Hinkle Family Fun Center, Locker 505 and iHeartMEDIA are teaming up to sponsor the Sixth Annual Keep Albuquerque Beautiful Recyclothes event.

Each year approximately 3,000 Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) students and their families go without the basic necessities in life. Recyclothes is a clothing drive designed to help those children within APS that need help receiving those necessities. All donations will be delivered to the Locker 505 Clothing Bank. The Clothing Bank partners with APS to make sure students in need have clothes, shoes, undergarments and coats so they can focus on learning.

Participants may take their donation of clean, reusable clothes to Hinkle Family Fun Center at 12931 Indian School RD NE. Clothes will be collected from 9 am – 2 pm, Saturday, May 20. Participants that bring a donation of gently used clothes will receive a free mini golf pass from Hinkle Family Fun Center.

An affiliate of Keep America Beautiful since 1982, Keep Albuquerque Beautiful is dedicated to community education on all solid waste management issues and alternatives through litter control, beautification, and graffiti eradication activities. These activities are geared toward increasing awareness and changing attitudes through public information.
