I-25 Rio Bravo Reconstruction Project, I-25 MP 216.250 to MP 220  (Project A301610)

  • Night work begins Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. beginning at mile marker 220 (just south of the Rio Bravo Interchange) for approximately four miles (to the Broadway Interchange).  Crews will be setting up traffic control.  Speedwill be reduced to 55 mph or less for the remainder of the project.  There will be traffic shifts during the project..      There will be a single lane closure in both the north and southbound directions during night work.



Roy Avenue Bridge Replacements NM 556 Edith Blvd. to Second Street Round-A-Bout

MP .400 to MP .0860 (Project A300920)

  • Project is underway and will pick up pace starting Monday, March 9.  Most of the work will not impact the exiting traffic patterns on Roy Avenue other than watching for construction equipment and trucks in the area.  A flagging operation will be used intermittently for construction of the bridge over Edith Blvd. which will stay open at all times.

NM 333 MP 0.0 to 4.425 Roadway Improvement Project (Project A300411)

  • Project in suspension – NM 333 from marker 0.0 to 4.425 (from Tramway east for 4 miles) will be placed in suspension pending final paving in the spring.


Rio Bravo – Isleta Intersection Improvement (Project A300940)

  • Project suspended until spring 2015 – NM 500 (Rio Bravo) at Isleta has all lanes restored and in the final configuration. Temperature dependent items needing to be completed will occur in the spring.


NM 528 Southern to Sundt/ Roadway Rehabilitation (Project A300380)

  • Spring of 2015 – NM 528 (DeArco Highway) Final paving will occur as soon as temperatures allow. This will be followed by the final hot thermo striping.



Districtwide Traffic Impacts



  • Ongoing through Thursday 3/12 from 9 am to 5 pm northbound and from 7 am to 3 pm southbound (MWI Inc./TMC) –  I-25 both directions from NM 6 (Los Lunas) north to the Rio Grande River will have various single lane closures for utility installation.


  • Ongoing through Monday 3/16 from 9 pm to 5 am each weekday (MWI Inc./TMC) –NM 6 westbound from Camelot to I-25 (Los Lunas) will have the right lane closed for utility installation.


  • Ongoing and until further notice (RMCI/Town of Bernalillo) – US 550 both directions at Don Tomas (Bernalillo) will have various lane closures at night and daytime shoulder work for intersection improvements.
