$250,000 in Reduce Your Use Grants.PNM Grants

Reduce Your Use Grants include activities designed to educate employees, clients and community about the importance of energy conservation. Projects typically funded include energy-saving building upgrades and energy-efficient equipment and appliance upgrades.

Since 2008, $1,378,761 in Reduce Your Use Grants has been awarded to nonprofit organizations.

2013 Reduce Your Use Grants included:

SITE Santa Fe replaced inefficient halogen lamps with LED lighting.
St. Felix Pantry in Rio Rancho upgraded to more energy efficient appliances in the food pantry.
The Center For Contemporary Arts of Santa Fe upgraded to energy efficient LED lights.
The Samaritan House upgraded shelter refrigerator and freezers.
The Volunteer Center of Grant County installed an on-demand water heater for radiant floor heating system.
Valencia Shelter for Victims of Domestic Violence replaced single-pane windows with more energy efficient windows.
Women’s Economic Self-Sufficiency Team (WESST) upgraded to more energy efficient appliances.
YMCA of Central New Mexico installed solar shades.
