Bernalillo County– A guide to mental health services in Bernalillo County is now available in Spanish as well as English.

The 80-page guide, “Ideas in Mental Health,” was funded by Bernalillo County, the City of Albuquerque and the University of New Mexico Department of Psychiatry.

“This mental health resource guide is an important step to providing assistance for individuals and their families who are struggling with mental illness,” says Bernalillo County Commission Chair Debbie O’Malley. “That issue is particularly relevant and visible now as our community deals with the role mental illness plays in the criminal justice system.

The guide contains abundant resources for those with mental illnesses in Bernalillo County and their families, including crisis hotlines, lists of hospitals and clinics that provide mental health services, a directory of local physicians and mental health professionals and extensive listings of private and governmental resources for those suffering with mental illness.
