The new season offers many different ways to engage with Harwood. I invite you to apply for and partake in everything that interests you, and I hope you’ll share these fantastic offerings with your circles:


Teaching Artist Positions >>
Applications to teach in our Art School program for adults and teens are accepted on a rolling basis.

Harwood Galleries & Exhibitions Program >>
Proposals for solo and group shows in our 2015 calendar are due Monday, March 31.

SURFACE: Emerging Artists of New Mexico >>
Submissions for our 2nd annual juried exhibition, awards and professional development program are due Monday, March 31.

Remote Response: Social Justice through the Artist’s Eyes >>
Submissions for our 5th annual international juried exhibition dedicated to themes of contemporary social justice are due Thursday, May 1.

Harvest CSA: Community Supported Art Program >>
Submissions for our 2nd annual program designed to connect artists with new collectors are due Friday, August 1.


Community Art Making Days >>
Youths (ages 6-14) are invited to bring their favorite grown up(s) to our Creative Roots printmaking workshops. There is no cost to participate, but advance registration is required.

Grow Your Creativity in Art School >>
Sign up for one of our fabulous spring Art School offerings or drop in to our weekly Open Draw sessions.

Be(come) an Art Collector >>
Expand the presence of art in your life by purchasing a share in our Harvest CSA. For $350, you’ll receive 10 original works by exceptional New Mexico artists.

Volunteer with Harwood >>
We invite you to register for our volunteer network — especially if you’re interested in helping out at special events!

ArtStreet in the Harwood Galleries >>
Join us next Friday, February 7 from 6 – 8pm for these extraordinary shows, presented in partnership with ArtStreet and Albuquerque Healthcare for the Homeless.

March Open Studios, Exhibitions, Art Making & More >>
Our always amazing annual event Encompass is coming up on Friday, March 7 from 6 – 8pm. Mark your calendars now for this spectacular evening. Best part? The open doors of our 45 Harwood Studio Artists!

The letter of inquiry process for alternative funding from ArtBar by Catalyst Club is open through this Friday, January 31.

Be the Albuquerque Poet Laureate >>
Applications to be our city’s next official bard and artistic ambassador will be accepted through this Friday, January 31.

Play Along with Women & Creativity >>
Sign up for our world-famous (seriously!) Tête-à-Tête Trading Cards project by Saturday, March 15. And while you’re there, check out our amazing schedule of events for this year’s festivities.
