This is an opportunity to learn basic mask making techniques using paper maché and recycled materials. At the end of the workshop, each student will have a unique, colorful paper maché mask. The first class will involve creating the basic mask form, the next day students will form and add details to the form. Saturday add final touches to the form and detail painting.

Inspired by the sculptures and masks of Oaxacan folk culture, instructor Dagwood Reeves taught himself the process of paper mache mask construction in 2006. He exhibits and sells his masks at local shops and festivals including OFFCenter.
