This presentation follows the 19th century progress of the Pajarito Land Grant claim through the systems implemented by U.S. Congress to legally settle Spanish and Mexican land grant claims in New Mexico.



Samuel Sisneros – “Early Pajarito Families”

Mr. Sisneros will discuss the early Pajarito families and what their society looked like during the 1700’s.


Backyard Beekeeping

Learn about the basics of bee keeping, why bees are important and useful to your home garden, and homeopathic uses for bee products. Examples of both Top Bar and Langstrom hives will be available to compare and contrast methods.


Flora and Fauna of Bachechi Open Space and the Bosque

March 25 from 10a.m.-12p.m. at Bachechi Open Space

Local ecologist and naturalist, Dan Shaw, will give an overview of the local ecology and lead a walk throughout Bachechi Open Space indentifying plants and animals.
