You can help us make a difference in the lives of the homeless in Albuquerque in 2011, in a meaningful way. The Albuquerque Rescue Mission will reach out to the hungry and hopeless of our community with a warm, traditional Thanksgiving dinner and celebration on Tuesday, November 22, starting at 10:30. This is an early invitation so that you can mark your calendar. What better way to touch the lives of the poor in our community than to serve them this wonderful meal?

What a difference your kind voice and friendly smile – and a hearty Thanksgiving dinner – can make in someone’s life. A meal at the Albuquerque Rescue Mission is often the starting point for joining our rehabilitation and job training program – and eventually transitioning to a fulfilling and productive life.

With your caring and involvement at this and other times during the year, you help is bring attention to the problems the homeless face every day. As you may know, we have served every day for 56 years. We do expect media coverage of the Thanksgiving dinner again this year and your presence helps make the story more newsworthy.
