Throughout the month of November, Bernalillo County Public Works Division is hosting E-waste recycling days.

E-waste is the outdated computers, televisions, cell phones, printers, and thousands of other electronic devices commonly used today. The global technological revolution is fueling a rapidly increasing e-waste disposal problem.

Sending an old computer to the landfill is undesirable because some of its components can be re-used and some parts are made with toxic chemicals such as mercury and must be disposed of in special ways. The environmentally safe disposal of e-waste is a responsibility we all share.

Here is where you can dispose of your e-waste the safe way:

Nov. 12 | 8 a.m. to noon
Atrisco Park, 480 Sunset SW (Atrisco Little League Field between Central and Bridge SW)

Nov. 12 | 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Wellesley property, 2400 Wellesley Rd NE (Old Blue Cross Blue Shield just behind the Dee’s Cheesecake Factory)

Nov. 19 | 8 a.m. to noon
Raymond G. Sanchez Community Center, 9800 4th Street NW
