The mission of Healing, Harmony & Heart is to create a cultural connection between community and business through jazz, advancing awareness of multiple sclerosis and improving resources available to those affected by the disease.

The inaugural Healing, Harmony & Heart concert features: 7-time Grammy Award winning jazz legend Jon Hendricks. Recognized internationally as America’s preeminent jazz vocalist and lyricist by colleagues and fans alike, Mr. Hendricks has had a distinguished career spanning five decades. He has received Emmy, Iris, and Peabody awards and the French Legion of Honor. Ever the consummate musician, he continues to perform, record, and teach.

Awadagin Pratt will open the evening with a special musical program. A renowned concert pianist, Mr. Pratt won the Naumberg Piano Competition and Avery Fisher Career Grant. He has soloed with symphony orchestras around the world and is acclaimed for his musical insight and intensely involving performances.

The Accelerated Cure Project for Multiple Sclerosis is dedicated to finding a cure for MS. Its two main efforts are: developing a Cure Map to document what is known and unknown about the causes of MS and creating for use by researchers a large-scale, multidisciplinary repository of blood samples and data from people with MS and other demyelinating diseases.
