From Bridge Boulevard to Coal Avenue
Richard J. Berry, Mayor
The City of Albuquerque Department of Municipal Development is completing the design of the streetscape improvements based on the 8th Street Corridor Streetscape Plan developed in August of 2009 by City Council Services.
The project addresses transit, pedestrian and vehicle needs on 8th Street from Bridge Boulevard to Coal Avenue. Primary elements of the roadway design include the addition of sidewalk, intersection accessibility improvements, bike lanes, and upgrades to bus stops within the corridor.
The upcoming meeting is aimed to inform the community regarding the final design elements as well as solicit feedback on the layout of the proposed improvements.
